"Girls use backbiting, exckusion, rumors, name-calling, and manipulation to inflict psyhological pain or targeted victums"(pg. 3).
I chose this quote because it sums up some of the topics that are visited in the book. Girls often do backstab and manipulate eachother to get what they want. Often times their backstabbing can seriously affect others. Girls use name calling and rumors to attack other girls emotionally and weaken their confidence. Some of the questions that i had after reading this quotation is why do girls use these techniques to target their victums? and why do girls who do these things feel empowered or better about themselves? I connect to this because I am a teenaged girl who has also been able to relate to this and have seen the cause and effects of the way that teenaged girls treat eachother. Most teenaged girls do not see the consequences of their actions and the way that they treat other girls and their peers. They try to weaken their self confidence in an attempt to increase their own self confidence.
